Who we are
BotShopHQ is an independent directory at botshophq.com for Shopify merchants using Grok Bot. Questions? Email info@botshophq.com.

US customers only
BotShopHQ serves, and sells to, customers in the United States only. Our sponsor placements are offered only to US businesses. Anyone can read the site.
What we collect
Just what you send us, plus the basic logs that keep the site running.
- Submit a store bot form: the bot's x.ai share link, its name, the job it does, an optional description, and whether you built it. If you choose to give it, we also get your X handle or email, so we can tell you when the bot is listed.
- Sponsor form: your company or app, your name, your work email, an optional website or Shopify App Store link, the placements you're interested in, and anything else you tell us.
- Email to us: your email address and whatever you write.
- Sponsor payments: if you buy a sponsor placement, you pay on Stripe's checkout page. Stripe collects your card details, name, email, billing country and postal code, plus device and fraud-prevention information. We get your name, email, card brand, the last 4 digits and expiration date of your card, and your payment and renewal history. Your full card number never reaches BotShopHQ.
- Server logs: our web host keeps basic logs, like most websites. They show your IP address, your browser, the pages you asked for and the time.
We don't take payments on this site itself. BotShopHQ Weekly doesn't have a signup form yet.
How we use it
- To review a bot you send us and decide whether to list it.
- To tell you your bot is listed, if you left a way to reach you.
- To answer sponsor inquiries and email you our founding rates.
- To charge for sponsor placements you buy, run automatic renewals only if you turn them on, send receipts and renewal reminders, and handle cancellations and refunds.
- To keep the site running and safe, and to keep the records the law requires.
Who sees it
- Tally (tally.so) runs both of our forms and stores the entries for us as our service provider. Tally's own privacy policy covers how it handles your information.
- Stripe processes sponsor payments and renewals, and sends receipts. Stripe uses your information under its own privacy policy, including to prevent fraud. Your card network may send Stripe updated card details, like a new expiration date, so renewals keep working.
- Our web host stores the site and its server logs for us as our service provider.
- If you submit a bot, its listing details may show up on the site. That's the point.
- We may also share information when the law requires it, like a valid subpoena or court order, or when we need to protect the site or its visitors.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for targeted advertising.
Cookies and analytics
We don't use analytics, ad tags or tracking cookies, and our own code doesn't set any cookies. The forms on our Submit and Sponsor pages load from Tally. Tally may use cookies or similar tech to make the forms work, like saving answers you haven't finished. Its own policy covers that. Stripe's checkout pages run on Stripe's own site, and Stripe's policy covers them. Sites we link to may set their own cookies. That includes any affiliate partner that uses cookies to credit us for a referral.
Other than the services named above, we don't let other companies collect information about your activity across sites through BotShopHQ.
Do Not Track
Our site works the same way whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
Your choices
To see, fix or delete information you've sent us, or to ask us to take down a listing, email info@botshophq.com. We'll reply within 45 days. We may keep records the law requires, like sponsor orders and tax records.
How long we keep it
- Form entries and emails: 2 years after our last contact with you, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. If an entry becomes part of a sponsor order, we keep it with that order (see the next line).
- Sponsor orders: we keep your order, renewal consent, reminders, receipts and any cancellation for at least 3 years, or 1 year after your last run ends, whichever is longer.
- Business and tax records: as long as tax law requires.
- Server logs: our web host keeps them on its own schedule.
Kids
BotShopHQ is for adults running businesses. It isn't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll post the changes here and update the date at the top.
